Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31 May 2026.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage and session storage. This policy explains how Actuary365 uses them, in line with the Irish ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. 336/2011) and GDPR.
2. Categories of cookies we use
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function — for example to keep you signed in, remember your role (candidate or employer), and protect against cross-site request forgery. These do not require consent.
- Preference: remember choices such as dismissing the sweepstake popup or your view preferences. Stored in local/session storage rather than cookies.
- Analytics: aggregate, pseudonymised usage data so we can understand which pages and roles are most useful. We only set these with your consent where required.
3. Third-party cookies
We do not currently use advertising cookies. Any analytics or embedded content from third parties (for example map providers used on job listings) may set their own cookies governed by their own policies.
4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies via your browser settings — most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear local storage. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (you may not be able to sign in or stay signed in). For more information see the Irish Data Protection Commission's guidance on cookies.
